The Penang General Hospital is the public hospital of the city of George Town within the Malaysian state of Penang. Opened in 1854, it is the largest government hospital in Penang as well as the state's oldest. Penang General Hospital is situated 400 metres east of Polo Ground.

The Residency, officially Seri Mutiara, is the official residence of the Governor of Penang. Located at Western Road within downtown George Town, it was originally built in 1890 by British engineer Maurice Cameron as the residence for the British governor of Penang. The Residency is situated 290 metres south of Polo Ground.
