Andernach Geyser is the highest cold-water geyser in the world, reaching heights of 30 to 60 metres. The geyser was first bored in 1903 on the Namedy Peninsula in the Rhine near Andernach. Andernach Geyser is situated 1½ km southeast of Namedy Castle.

Hammerstein Castle is the ruin of a 10th-century mountain castle in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, the oldest in this entire Middle Rhine Valley. The ruin of one of its watchtowers still overlooks the Rhine at an altitude of 195 m, near the village of Hammerstein. Hammerstein castle is situated 1½ km north of Namedy Castle.
