University of Kashmir, informally known as Kashmir University, is a public state university located in the Hazratbal neighbourhood, on the western side of Dal Lake in the city of Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir, India, which was established in 1948. University of Kashmir is situated 460 metres northeast of Department of Botany and Zoology.

Naseem Bagh is a Mughal garden built on the northwestern side of the Dal Lake, close to the city of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The garden is one of the oldest Mughal gardens in Kashmir, built by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1586. Naseem Bagh is situated 1 km northeast of Department of Botany and Zoology.
