Saepinum was a Samnite town that later became a Roman municipium. Located approximately 15 kilometres south of the modern city of Campobasso in south-central Italy, Saepinum lay on the ancient road connecting Beneventum to Corfinium. Saepinum is situated 180 metres north of Gates of Saepinum.
