Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city in Nepal. The Tibetan and Sanskrit name for the site means 'self-arising' or 'self-sprung'. Swayambhunath is situated 2 km north of Kathmandu Engineering College.

Dasharath Rangasala

Dasharath Rangasala is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is named after Dasharath Chand, one of the four great martyrs of Nepal. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and cultural programmes. Dasharath Rangasala is situated 2 km east of Kathmandu Engineering College.

Kasthamandap

Kasthamandap is a reconstructed temple and public shelter in Nepal, in Kathmandu Durbar Square. The original three-story wooden structure, with sections dated to the 7th century CE, was destroyed in the April 2015 Nepal earthquake along with many other culturally significant structures in the historic square. Kasthamandap is situated 1 km northeast of Kathmandu Engineering College.

Maru is a historic neighborhood in central Kathmandu, Nepal and one of the most important cultural spots in the city. It is linked with the origin of the name Kathmandu, and forms part of what is generically known as Durbar Square, the old royal palace complexes of temples, shrines and palace buildings all of which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Indra Chowk or Wongha: is one of the ceremonial and market squares on the artery passing through the historic section of Kathmandu, Nepal. The intersection of Indra Chowk, along with Maru, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Makhan, Jana Baha, Asan and Naxal, mark the old India-Tibet trade route that is now a vibrant market street.
