Angkor Wat is a Theravada Buddhist temple complex and the largest religious complex in the world. Located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares within the ancient capital of Angkor, it was constructed between 1113 and 1150 CE during the reign of the Khmer king Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu. Angkor Wat is situated 1½ km southeast of Phnom Bakheng.
Baksei Chamkrong

Baksei Chamkrong is a small hindu temple located in the Angkor complex. It is dedicated to Shiva and used to hold a golden image of him. The temple can be seen on the left side when entering Angkor Thom at the southern gate. Baksei Chamkrong is situated 280 metres northeast of Phnom Bakheng.
