Lobbes Abbey

Lobbes Abbey was a Benedictine monastery in the municipality of Lobbes, Hainaut, Belgium. The abbey played an important role in the religious, political and religious life of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, especially around the year 1000.

Originally built as a burial church for monks and abbots of nearby Lobbes Abbey, it developed into a pilgrimage church after Saint Ursmer was interred there. Collegiate Church of Saint Ursmer is situated 330 metres east of Lobbes Abbey.
