Jane Austen's House is a small independent museum in the village of Chawton near Alton in Hampshire. It is a writer's house museum occupying the 17th-century house in which novelist Jane Austen spent the last eight years of her life, during which time she wrote, revised and made ready to be published all six of her novels, and the fragment Sanditon.

Alton railway station serves the market town of Alton, in the English county of Hampshire. The station is the terminus for two railway lines: the Alton line, which runs to Brookwood and on to London Waterloo, and the Watercress Line, a heritage railway which runs to Alresford.

The Curtis Museum in Alton is a local history museum in Hampshire, England. The museum was founded in 1865 by Dr William Curtis. In 2014, ownership of the museum was transferred to the Hampshire Cultural Trust as part of a larger transfer of museums from Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council.
