Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds, formerly referred to as Nakivubo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. The Hamz Stadium is used mostly for association football and also sometimes for basketball. Hamz Stadium is situated 800 metres southeast of Fort Lugard.

The National Library of Uganda was established by an Act of Parliament in 2003, replacing the Public Libraries Board which was established in 1964. It is the legal deposit library for Uganda and was under the directorship of Gertrude Kayaga Mulindwa. National Library of Uganda is situated 1 km northeast of Fort Lugard.

Saint Paul's Cathedral Namirembe, commonly and locally referred to as Namirembe Cathedral, is the oldest Anglican cathedral in Uganda. It serves as the provincial cathedral of the Anglican Church of Uganda and the diocesan cathedral for Namirembe Diocese, the first diocese to be founded in the Church of Uganda province in 1890. Namirembe Cathedral is situated 1 km west of Fort Lugard.
