The Ohaaki Power Station is a geothermal power station owned and operated by Contact Energy. A distinctive feature of this power station is the 105 m high natural draft cooling tower, the only one of its kind in New Zealand. Ohaaki Power Station is situated 180 metres east of Ohaaki Substation.
