Txurdinaga is a station on Line 3 of the Bilbao Metro and Euskotren Trena commuter and regional rail services. Txurdinaga station is situated 120 metres southwest of Residencia Gurena.

The Basilica of Begoña is a basilica in Bilbao, in Spain, dedicated to the patroness saint of Biscay, the image of Our Lady of Begoña. The current parish priest is Jesús Francisco de Garitaonandia. Basilica of Begoña is situated 700 metres west of Residencia Gurena.

Begoña is a historical municipality of Biscay and is a neighbourhood and urban district of Bilbao. Begoña, or more puristically but also more rarely spelled Begoina, means 'the lower foot', referring to the slopes of Mount Artxanda which lie to the north of the city.
