Demachiyanagi Station is a railway station operated by the Keihan Electric Railway, located in Sakyō-ku, Kyoto. It serves as the northern terminus for the Ōtō Line and the southern terminus for the Main Line of the Eizan Electric Railway. Demachiyanagi is situated 150 metres east of Kamo River Delta.

The Kyōto Imperial Palace, also known as Dairi, is the former palace of the Emperor of Japan from 1337 to 1869 located in Kamigyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. Since the Meiji Restoration in 1869, the Emperors have resided at the Tokyo Imperial Palace, while the preservation of the Kyoto Imperial Palace was ordered in 1877. Kyoto Imperial Palace is situated 1 km southwest of Kamo River Delta.
