It is the oldest cathedral in Germany and the largest religious structure in Trier, notable for its long life span and grand design. Trier Cathedral is situated 780 metres south of St. Kamillus.

The Karl Marx statue is a monument located on Simeonstiftplatz in Trier. It was unveiled on May 5, 2018, to mark the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth in his hometown.
