Castle Branzoll is on the southern slope of Mount Säben, below the Säben Abbey, and somewhat above the city of Klausen in South Tyrol, Italy. Blackmoor, the first fantasy roleplaying game campaign setting, used a kit model of the castle to represent the titular Castle Blackmoor. Branzoll Castle is situated 2 km north of Zöggele.

Klausen is a town in South Tyrol, included in the list of "most beautiful towns in Italy". It is located along the Eisack river. Geographically, is located about thirty kilometers north of Bolzano and about ten kilometers south of Brixen in the Eisack valley area.
