Located at the intersection of Valentine Street and Beatty Street, the station serves as the western terminus for NJ Transit's Morristown Line and Montclair–Boonton Line for most trains that operate west of Dover. Hackettstown station is situated 2 miles west of Woodfield at Mount Olive.

Flanders is located around Route 206, and Budd Lake is named for the lake with the same name along Route 46, which leads into Long Valley and Hackettstown in Warren County.

Schooleys Mountain is situated 3½ miles south of Woodfield at Mount Olive.
