Dharanikota is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the site of ancient Dhanyakataka, which was the capital of the Satavahana dynasty that ruled in the Deccan around the 1st to 3rd centuries CE. Dharanikota is situated 3 km east of Muttaipalem.
