The Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, previously known as Tropenmuseum between 1950 and 2023, is an ethnographic museum with its headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Wereldmuseum Amsterdam is situated 450 metres north of Kastanjeplein.

The Oosterpark is the first large park laid out by the municipality of Amsterdam. Located near the Singelgracht of the Mauritskade to the north, it is the principal component of the Oosterpark neighbourhood in the Oost borough.

De Schreeuw

De Schreeuw is a sculpture in the Oosterpark in Amsterdam that commemorates the assassinated Dutch film-maker Theo van Gogh. The monument was designed by Jeroen Henneman as a symbol of freedom of speech. De Schreeuw is situated 130 metres northwest of Kastanjeplein.

Oostpoort is a neighborhood in the borough Amsterdam-Oost in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The neighborhood is situated at between the Linnaeusstraat, the Ringvaart, the Amsterdam–Arnhem railway, and the Amsterdam–Zutphen railway.
