Syangboche Airport is a domestic airport located in Namche Bazaar serving Solukhumbu District, a district in Koshi Province in Nepal. Syangboche Airport’s first and foremost challenge is its elevation at 3,780 m; it is exposed to some of the most extreme and capricious weather conditions in the world, with heavy winds, fog and snowfall. Syangboche Airport is situated 3½ km southwest of Tashinga.

Khumbila or Khumbu Yül-Lha, roughly translated as "God of Khumbu village" is one of the high Himalayan peaks in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal within the Sagarmatha National Park. Mount Khumbila is situated 4 km northwest of Tashinga.

Tengboche is a village in Khumbu Pasanglhamu rural municipality in the Khumbu subregion of Koshi Province in Nepal, located at 3,867 metres. Within the village is an important Buddhist monastery, Tengboche Monastery, which is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region.
