Taif is a city and governorate in Mecca Province in Saudi Arabia. Located at an elevation of 1,879 m in the slopes of the Hijaz Mountains, which themselves are part of the Sarat Mountains, the city has a population of 563,282 people in 2022, making it one of the most populous cities in the kingdom. Addas Mosque is situated 180 metres north of Al-Madhoun Mosque.

The Abd Allah ibn al-Abbas Mosque is a historical mosque located in the city of Taif within the Mecca Province of western Saudi Arabia. The mosque is named after Ibn Abbas, who is buried within the grounds of the mosque. Abdullah Ibn Abbas Mosque is situated 2½ km northeast of Al-Madhoun Mosque.
