Nurmižu gravu rezervāts is a nature reserve in Siguldas pagasts, Sigulda Municipality. Nurmižu gravu rezervāts is situated nearby to the hamlet Nurmiži, as well as near the neighborhood Pilskalni.

Sigulda Medieval Castle ruins are located on the edge of the Gauja valley in the Vidzeme region of Latvia. The original castle was built in 1207 as a castellum type fortress, later rebuilt into a convent type building.

Sigulda is administratively in the Riga region, however culturally a part of the Vidzeme region. It is a resort town just over an hour from Riga by train, featuring a wooded river valley containing forest walks, cable car, bobsleigh track, three castles and a former times rehabilitation centre featuring a hostel, all of which is manageable as a day visitor on foot.
