is an NSG–3 category Indian railway station in Chennai railway division of Southern Railway zone. It is one of the railway stations of the Chennai Beach– section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network serving the neighbourhoods of Perungalathur and Peerkankaranai in southern .

is a protected area located in the suburb of to the southwestern part of , about 30 km from the city centre. It is bordered by the Grand Southern Trunk Road in the west and Suddhanandha Bharathi Street on the northern and the eastern sides and is intersected by the Vandalur–Kelambakkam Road on the southern side.
