The Deerfield Residence is the official residence of the United States Ambassador to Ireland in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. The premises has been the Ambassador's Official Residence since 1927, and was previously the Embassy of the United States of America in Ireland. Ashtown Castle is a tower house in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland. It was found hidden within the walls of a much larger and more recent Georgian building, the Under Secretary's Lodge also known as Ashtown Lodge, that was being used by the Papal Nuncio until 1978. Ashtown Castle is situated 710 metres north of Deerfield.
