Shumen Fortress

It is an ancient fortress with historical links to a village nearby traced to early Iron Age and later owned by the Thracians in the 5th century BC. Han Krum

Han Krum is a village in the municipality of Preslav, Shumen Province, north-eastern Bulgaria. As of 2022 it has 332 inhabitants. Up to 1899 the village was called Chatalar and was then renamed to Tsar Krum and in 1977 to Khan Krum, after Krum who ruled Bulgaria between 803 and 814. Han Krum is situated 5 km south of Дългите поляни.
