Ashtown Castle

Ashtown Castle is a tower house in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland. It was found hidden within the walls of a much larger and more recent Georgian building, the Under Secretary's Lodge also known as Ashtown Lodge, that was being used by the Papal Nuncio until 1978. Ashtown Castle is situated 640 metres south of Ashgrove.

Ashtown is a commuter railway station in Fingal, Ireland on the Dublin Connolly to Maynooth and Docklands to M3 Parkway commuter services. It serves the Ashtown area of Dublin and is near the Ashtown roundabout on the Navan Road. Navan Road Parkway opened nearby in 2008 but does not replace Ashtown. Ashtown railway station is situated 570 metres northwest of Ashgrove.

Áras an Uachtaráin, formerly the Viceregal Lodge, is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of Ireland. The estate is located off Chesterfield Avenue in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, with the building's design being credited to amateur architect Nathaniel Clements but more likely guided by professionals and completed around 1751 to 1757. The Presidential Residence is situated 1½ km southeast of Ashgrove.
