Østermarkskolen

Østermarkskolen is one of two city schools located in Aars city, Denmark, the other one being Aars school. There are also a third school, Vestermarkskolen which teaches students with autism, Down syndrome and multi-disabled.

The Aars stone or DR 131 is a late Viking Age runestone located on a mound in the churchyard at Aars in Himmerland, Denmark. Dated to the late 10th to early 11th century, it bears an inscription in the Younger Fuþark in memory of Toke Gormsson, known as Valtoke, who died at the Battle of Fýrisvellir. Aars stone is situated 1 km west of Østermarkskolen.

Aars water tower is a water tower located in Aars in Himmerland, Denmark. The tower was built in 1930 right in the middle of a very old water tank when the city's original water supply went out. Aars water tower is situated 350 metres west of Østermarkskolen.
