Building
The Fremont, Elkhorn & Missouri Valley Railroad Passenger Depot, also known as the Chicago and North Western Railway Passenger Depot and presently as the Douglas Railroad Interpretive Center, was built in 1886 in to accommodate traffic on the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad's terminus at the newly built town.

Historic building
The is the oldest established business in and to survive in its original location. Established in 1906 by Theodore Pringle, succeeding an 1887 bar known as "Lee Pringle's." The 1906 structure is a two-story masonry building, occupying the site of the frame Pringle's bar, which was moved two blocks away and which still survives. is situated 730 feet northeast of Douglas Railroad Interpretive Center.
