Sev Berd or Black Fortress is an abandoned Russian imperial fortress in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. The fortress, which lies 8 kilometres from the Turkish border, was built in response to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. Black Fortress is situated 430 metres southwest of St. Sargis Church.

It is bordered by Abovyan street from the west, Gai street from the north, Shahumyan street from the east and Vahan Cheraz street from the south. Vardanants Square is situated 1 km east of St. Sargis Church.

The Mother Armenia monumental statue is a female personification of Armenia, located in the city of Gyumri. It resembles the monumental complex of Mother Armenia in the capital Yerevan. Mother Armenia is situated 600 metres southwest of St. Sargis Church.
