Tonale works

Fort Tonale is an Austro-Hungarian fortification built to guard the Strino and Sole Valleys in Northern Italy. The fort was built between 1908 and May 1, 1912.

Fort Mero is an Austro-Hungarian fortification built in Northern Italy. Mero was built between 8 May 1911, and July 1913, and was the last fortification built in the Tonale group. Mero intermediate works is situated 520 metres south of Tonale works.

The Strino Roadblock is an Austro-Hungarian roadblock built to guard the Tonale Pass and the Sole Valley in Northern Italy. While some sources indicate that the fort was built between 1860 and 1866, others indicate between 1860 and 1861. Strino works is situated 1½ km east of Tonale works.

The Presanella Roadblock is an Austro-Hungarian fortification built at an altitude of 1880m on the right side of the Vermigliana Valley in Northern Italy. Presanella works is situated 2½ km southeast of Tonale works.

Tonale Pass is a high mountain pass in northern Italy across the Rhaetian Alps, between Lombardy and Trentino. It connects Valcamonica and Val di Sole. Tonale Pass is situated 4 km southwest of Tonale works.
