The Kona Hawaii Temple is the 70th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The intent to build the temple was announced on May 7, 1998, by the church's First Presidency.

Huliheʻe Palace

The Huliheʻe Palace is located in historic Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi, on Ali'i Drive. The former vacation home of Hawaiian royalty, it was converted to a museum run by the Daughters of Hawaiʻi, showcasing furniture and artifacts. Huliheʻe Palace is situated 2½ km west of Aloha Kona.

Keauhou is an unincorporated community on the island of Hawaii in Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States. Its elevation is 13 feet. Because the community has borne multiple names, the Board on Geographic Names officially designated it "Keauhou" in 1914. Keauhou is situated 9 km south of Aloha Kona.
