The Glynrhonwy quarries were two adjacent quarries in the Glynrhonwy area, north-west of Llanberis, in Carnarvonshire, Wales. They were: The quarries operated internal railways of 2 ft gauge and were served by Glynrhonwy Siding off the LNWR's Caernarfon to Llanberis branch. Glynrhonwy quarries is situated 1,600 feet southwest of Glyn Peris.

Clwt-y-bont is a village in Gwynedd, Wales, lying just to the south of Deiniolen. The two villages form one urban unit. Both were built in the early 19th century to house workers in the Dinorwig slate quarry, and both suffered when the quarry was closed in 1969.
