The Anvil is a concert hall and performing arts centre in the town of Basingstoke in Hampshire, UK. The building's name reflects its unusual shape, particularly when seen from the western approach, as it resembles the horn end of a traditional blacksmith's anvil.

Old Basing is a village in the civil parish of Old Basing and Lychpit, in the Basingstoke and Deane district, in Hampshire, England, just east of Basingstoke. It was called Basengum in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle and Basinges in the Domesday Book.
