Itsukushima Shrine is a Shinto shrine on the island of Itsukushima, best known for its "floating" torii. It is in the city of Hatsukaichi, in Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan, accessible from the mainland by ferry at Miyajimaguchi Station. Itsukushima Shrine is situated 140 metres southeast of The Great Torii.

The aquarium is accredited as a Museum-equivalent facility by the Museum Act from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Miyajima Public Aquarium is situated 310 metres southwest of The Great Torii.
