The Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple in George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at Ayer Itam, it is the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia and an important pilgrimage centre for Buddhists from Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and other parts of Southeast Asia. Kek Lok Si Temple is situated 1 km south of Penang Hill Lower Station.

The Ayer Itam War Memorial Park is a war memorial in George Town within the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at the suburb of Ayer Itam, the memorial commemorates the local Chinese who lost their lives during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the subsequent Japanese occupation of Malaya. Ayer Itam War Memorial Park is situated 660 metres southeast of Penang Hill Lower Station.

Established in 2021, the 50-bed hospital at Ayer Itam is the first Buddhist hospital in the state and is run by the nearby Kek Lok Si Temple. Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital is situated 750 metres south of Penang Hill Lower Station.
