Pontypool and New Inn railway station

Pontypool and New Inn railway station is situated to the south east of Pontypool town centre between the town and the suburb of New Inn, Wales. The station was formerly called Pontypool Road until renamed just Pontypool in 1972 and then to the present name in 1994.

Llandegfedd Reservoir

Llandegfedd Reservoir is a large 174 hectare water supply reservoir and is eight miles north of Newport in south Wales. The reservoir is very close to Pontypool, Cwmbran and Usk, with the boundary between Monmouthshire and Torfaen running through it along the former Sôr Brook.

Pontypool is a town and the administrative centre of the county borough of Torfaen, within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire in South Wales. As of 2021, it has a population of 29,062.

Usk is a town and community in Monmouthshire, Wales, 10 miles northeast of Newport. It is located on the River Usk, which is spanned by an arched stone bridge at the western entrance to the town. Usk Castle, above the town, overlooks the ancient crossing point.

Trevethin or Trefethin is a suburb of Pontypool and a community in Torfaen, Wales. The community is coterminous with the electoral ward of Trevethin and Penygarn, which elects councillors to Torfaen County Borough Council.
