Amwaj Islands are a group of man-made islands, located in the Persian Gulf to the northeast of Bahrain, off the north coast of Muharraq Island. They lie 10.5 km northeast of the capital, Manama, on Bahrain Island.

Samaheej is a village in Bahrain on the northern coast of Muharraq Island. Al Dair village lies to its northwest, while Galali lies to its southeast. It is north of Bahrain International Airport. Samaheej is situated 3½ km west of Reception.

Al Hidd is a town in Bahrain, located on a sand spit on the southeastern extremity of Muharraq Island. The town, which has a large native Sunni population, is well known for its rich sea crabs as well as its clear blue seas. Al Hidd is situated 4 km southwest of Reception.
