Megara Hyblaea – perhaps identical with Hybla Major – is an ancient Greek colony of Magna Graecia in Sicily, situated near Augusta on the east coast, 20 kilometres north-northwest of Syracuse, Italy, on the deep bay formed by the Xiphonian promontory.
