The École normale supérieure – PSL is a grande école in Paris, France. It is one of the constituent members of Paris Sciences et Lettres University. Due to its selectivity, historical role, and influence within French society, the ENS is generally considered the most prestigious of the grandes écoles, as well as one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in France. Les Gobelins is a station on line 7 of the Paris Métro on the edges of the 5th and 13th arrondissements. This station is named after Avenue des Gobelins, which honoured the Gobelin family who manufactured dyes from the mid 15th century on the banks of the nearby river Bièvre. Les Gobelins station is situated 130 metres east of Îlot de la Reine Blanche.
