Büyükçekmece Dam

Büyükçekmece Dam is a dam on the Lake Büyükçekmece in Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. The development was backed by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works, and was opened in 1988.

The Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque, also known as the Köprübaşı Mosque, is the ruin of a 16th-century Ottoman mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. The ruin is situated in Büyükçekmece which is now a district of Istanbul, but would have been in the countryside at the time the mosque was built. Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque, Büyükçekmece is situated 470 metres southeast of Büyükçekmece Dam.
