The Red Fort is a historic Mughal fort located in the Old Delhi area of Delhi, India. It served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan on the 12th of May 1639, the fort was constructed following his decision to shift the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Red Fort, Delhi is situated 290 metres northwest of Mumtaz Mahal.

The Moti Masjid is a 17th-century historical mosque, not open for worship, inside the Red Fort complex in Old Delhi, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, damaged during the Siege of Delhi, and subsequently restored by the British. Moti Masjid is situated 260 metres north of Mumtaz Mahal.
