The Obelisk of Montevideo, officially Obelisk to the Constituents of 1830 is a monument created by sculptor José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín. It is a three-sided obelisk made of granite, 40 metres tall with three bronze statues on its sides, representing "Law", "Liberty" and "Force". Obelisk of Montevideo is situated 180 metres south of Italian Hospital of Montevideo.

Democracy Square is a road junction and public space in the Tres Cruces neighbourhood of Montevideo, Uruguay. The square connects Italy Avenue, Artigas Boulevard and 8 de Octubre Avenue, which are three of the most important thoroughfares in the city, due to the large amount of traffic they receive as they are different entrance routes to the central business district. Democracy Square is situated 240 metres north of Italian Hospital of Montevideo.
