British Hospital

The British Hospital or Hospital Británico is a private hospital in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is located in the barrio of Parque Batlle, just west of the park of the same name.

Democracy Square is a road junction and public space in the Tres Cruces neighbourhood of Montevideo, Uruguay. The square connects Italy Avenue, Artigas Boulevard and 8 de Octubre Avenue, which are three of the most important thoroughfares in the city, due to the large amount of traffic they receive as they are different entrance routes to the central business district. Democracy Square is situated 190 metres northwest of British Hospital.

The Italian Hospital of Montevideo, whose official name is Ospedale italiano Umberto I, is a clinic and sanatorium founded in 1890 near Parque Batlle, Montevideo. Italian Hospital of Montevideo is situated 210 metres southwest of British Hospital.

Obelisk of Montevideo

The Obelisk of Montevideo, officially Obelisk to the Constituents of 1830 is a monument created by sculptor José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín. It is a three-sided obelisk made of granite, 40 metres tall with three bronze statues on its sides, representing "Law", "Liberty" and "Force". Obelisk of Montevideo is situated 360 metres southwest of British Hospital.
