Michigan Central Station is the historic former main intercity passenger rail station in Detroit, Michigan. Built for the Michigan Central Railroad, it replaced the original depot in downtown Detroit, which had been shuttered after a major fire on December 26, 1913, forcing the still unfinished station into early service. Michigan Central Station is situated 3,300 feet west of Corktown Substation.

Opening on September 5, 2017, the arena, which cost $862.9 million to construct, replaced Joe Louis Arena and The Palace of Auburn Hills as the home of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association, respectively. Little Caesars Arena is situated 1 mile northeast of Corktown Substation.
