Esch-sur-Sûre Castle, now a ruin, is located on a spur in the small town of Esch-sur-Sûre in the north-west of Luxembourg. It is naturally protected by a sharp meander in the River Sûre which surrounds the town and the castle on three sides. Esch-sur-Sûre Castle is situated 3 km northeast of Tiirchen.

Bonnal is a village in the commune of Esch-sur-Sûre, in north-western Luxembourg, on the south shore of the Upper Sûre Lake. As of 2025, the village had a population of 84.
