Penrose railway station is a station at Penrose, Auckland, on the Southern Line and Onehunga Line of the Auckland railway network, New Zealand. It is equipped with an island platform reached by pedestrian bridges from Great South Road and Station Road, and a side platform on Station Road. Penrose railway station is situated 470 metres west of Penrose Road Overbridge.

Mount Smart Stadium, branded as Go Media Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand. It is the main home ground of the New Zealand Warriors of the National Rugby League and Auckland FC of the A-League Men, and occasionally hosts rugby union and international rugby league matches. Mount Smart Stadium is situated 1¼ km southwest of Penrose Road Overbridge.

Mount Smart is one of the volcanoes and Tūpuna Maunga in the Auckland volcanic field. A century of quarrying removed almost all the 87 metre scoria cone along with extensive terracing excavated by Māori.
