It links the southern part of Hammersmith in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, on the north side of the river, with Barnes in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on the south side of the river. Hammersmith Bridge is situated 2,500 feet east of Hammersmith Pumping Station.
