Neyveli is an industrial town in the Cuddalore district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located 22.87 kilometres inland from the Bay of Bengal, west of Pondicherry and 197 kilometres south of Chennai.

Virudhaachalam is a town in the Cuddalore to Salem Highway next to Neyveli in Tamil Nadu state in India. It is primarily a pilgrimage centre with an enormous Shiva temple, the Viruthagiriswarar temple, from which the name arose.
