West Seattle is the large portion of Seattle west of the Duwamish River. Separated from the remainder of the city by topography, it has a decidedly less urban character, making it a surprisingly close getaway from the activity of the downtown area.

Riverton is a census-designated place in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 6,407 at the 2010 census. Riverton was formerly part of the Riverton-Boulevard Park CDP, which was split up for the 2010 census into Riverton and Boulevard Park. Riverton is situated 3½ miles southeast of White Center.
