Katmandou, très rarement orthographiée Kathmandou, Kathmandu ou Katmandu, parfois appelée Kantipur du nom de l'ancienne cité-État, ou encore Yen — notamment par les Newars —, est la capitale politique et religieuse du dont elle est également la plus grande ville ainsi que le chef-lieu du district du même nom.
