Tall Zira’a

The Tall Zira'a is an archaeological tell in Jordan. Surveys and geophysical investigations showed the site's great potential for excavations. Tall Zira´a contains evidence of over 5000 years of settlement – almost without cultural gaps, at the point at which the Syrian cultural sphere meets the Palestinian.

Gadara

Gadara, in some texts Gedaris, was an ancient Hellenistic city in what is now Jordan, for a long time member of the Decapolis city league, a former bishopric and present Latin Catholic titular see. Gadara is situated 4 km northeast of Z̧ahrat aţ Ţanţūr.

Umm Qais, also known as Qays, is a town in northern Jordan principally known for its proximity to the ruins of the ancient Gadara. It is the largest city in the Bani Kinanah Department and Irbid Governorate in the extreme northwest of the country, near Jordan's borders with Israel and Syria.

Located to the south of the Sea of Galilee near the Jordanian border and covering 4,200 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 962. Ashdot Ya’akov Ihud is situated 6 km northwest of Z̧ahrat aţ Ţanţūr.

Ashdot Ya'akov Meuhad is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located to the south of the Sea of Galilee near the Jordanian border and covering 4,300 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 903. Ashdot Ya’akov Meuhad is situated 6 km northwest of Z̧ahrat aţ Ţanţūr.
