Ormos Egialis is also called Aegiali and is the second port of Amorgos. It is set in a large sweeping bay, providing a view from Tholaria and the Aegialis Hotel above. There are frequent ferries to and from Piraeus, as well as a daily ferry to Naxos.

Tholaria is a small village on the Greek island of Amorgos, situated on the hill, 3.5 kilometres north of the port of Ormos Aigialis. Tholaria is situated 4 km north of Órmos Voudómantra.

Amorgos is the easternmost island of the Cyclades island group and the nearest island to the neighboring Dodecanese island group in Greece. Along with 16 neighbouring islets, the largest of which is Nikouria Island, it comprises the municipality of Amorgos, which has a land area of 126.346 square kilometres and at the 2021 census had a population of 1,961.
